Flat Fee Plans

Legal services include flat-fee IP counseling packages for startups of all stages of growth.

In many start-up companies, intellectual property is the most valuable asset.  For some companies, however, that asset loses some or all of its value because of mistakes and bad practices.

From the beginning, it is critical for a company to make sure it owns the intellectual property rights to what its founders, contractors, employees and vendors create for it.  Many companies have been surprised and horrified when they discover that they don’t own what they thought they did—especially when they paid for it.

The Startup IP Law Packages are flat-fee, attorney IP counseling and audit programs.  They are offered for a fixed rate to help startup companies protect their intellectual property for a reasonable price and avoid the biggest mistakes.

The Founder’s IP Law Package is designed specifically for Company founders as they launch their new business venture.  It addresses legal issues related to IP ownership and contamination.

The Core Protection IP Law Package is for the emerging start-up that is hiring contractors or employees and creating new products.

The Strategic IP Law Package is for startups where the critical Company assets are intellectual property and it plans to expand or seek investors.

All flat-fee plans include:

  • The central contracts needed to own the Company’s intellectual property, ensure IP assignment and protect trade secrets
  • Attorney counseling and IP audit to identify legal issues and avoid the major IP disasters
  • Attorney programs that teach key employees about IP law to help protect the Company’s IP and help it avoid liability related to third-party infringement
